I’m behind on these blogs…it’s fine…but I couldn’t wait any longer to post our behind the scenes blog post for 2019, and a little bit of this year!! We have too much fun and these blogs are some of my favorite to see from other photographers, and to also look back on in the future! It’s just the best to be able to do this job with family and friends, and build a community while serving our sweet clients who give us all these wonderful opportunities to work together! It’s just, the best. Enjoy:)
Probably not who she’s expecting on the other side of the door!
When you just can’t pass up a cute spot like this while running to the next event. Peep Charlie in the back…running off because we got to GO
Serving our couple in any way we can, especially helping to combat the weather with our baby stroller fan. Every photographer needs one of these!!
When you forget that windows REFLECT…
2018-2019 I shot weddings pregnant for the first time. This was from our last wedding before Emma arrived! She arrived 6 weeks later, but I shot this wedding 4 weeks out from my due date…I looked…huge! I had a few people concerned but I was proud of myself for all the hard work I did with a baby inside me!
So crazy to look back at these…I must have gotten some giggles walking around a wedding so BIG!
We LOVE Verity Videography!! It’s always a party when we get to work with them!:)
We can never show you all the blooper shots that we get…even though we get some really really great ones;) But ones like these crack me up! The wind had a sense of humor at this wedding that was full of wind and rain!
Maybe this can pass as creative at least…nope
We really have loved having Madison join our wedding day team! She is so very helpful and I really don’t know what we did without her. She adds that much more humor and calm to the in-between moments;)
Yikes guys…these BTS pictures are rarely cute of me!
These next few photos can be a ‘Find Morgan’ game
The most epic weather we have ever had at a wedding…ever….freezing, windy, and RAINY!! We had a bomb Bridal Party and Bride and Groom who wanted to go for photos on the ROOF during this weather. MVPs right here folks.
Just the craziest weather!!
My face when walking away is never cute, i’m finding…
Such a stoic light model
When you aren’t paying attention and get mobbed by a surprise conga line
Gorg
Many of these BTS shots are my favorite, but running away from the fluff will always win
Probs don’t want a hugely pregnant women in this photo!
My sweet Charlie always going above and beyond to help where he can, even if it’s never expected of him:)
Charlie on top of things:
For Family Formals, I take the photo and help organize where people will stand, but Charlie does most of the heavy lifting during this time. He calls out any announcement, gathers the upcoming group on the list while I am shooting the last group he set up, wrangles stragglers, he handles it ALL. I have a teensy bit of anxiety if I ever have to do these without him, but thankfully haven’t had to do it without him much! He is key for a smooth Family Formal time
Poor Charlie, his job title is so long…clearing all the backgrounds out for me in record time
That face is my split second check head swivel to see if the Bride is entering the aisle yet
Another favorite outtake from the year …just wait, I have a few more;)
Yikes…
Jenny, I am so sorry this was snuck into your official gallery…I promise I didn’t think you wanted this one even though Madison does look gorgeous in it!
Always the third wheel
When your photo is a cardboard cutout!
The zombie hand pose
Mary Bess making my back hurt and arms shake just looking at these
Always forced to be our test light model…always loves that we do that to her..
That end of the wedding day sweaty glow
Way to go arm, you really made this photo
Found him hogging the heat from all the kids
The cuteness is too much. Always fun to photograph friends!
I spy Charlie…and so did the auto focus
Always up on things…and helping get the exit LIT
When you accidentally take a photo…we do that often
So pregs! Sweet little Emma went through so much in there with me!
I almost achieved blending into the bush here. Success.
Fun fact: This was moments after I almost passed out on the dance floor. I was 8 months pregnant and I am horrible enough at remembering to take care of myself during weddings, which I can get away with usually, but not when you are that pregnant. I had barely any water or food that day (my fault) and my blood sugar had had enough with me. My Garmin Watch said my heart rate shot to 145 while I was just standing taking photos! I started to break out in a cold sweat, legs got shaky, went numb and nauseous and had to kneel to the floor for fear of falling. Madison and Charlie were thankfully the only ones who noticed and went into nurse mode. Charlie helped me to a bench and Maddie got me food and water. I was all good a few minutes after taking in food and water and resting for a bit….but I’ve learned my lesson and will not let this happen ever again!;)
Always pushing my way into the vibe;)
When you don’t want to keep dragging a light stand around…you get a Maddie.
We love this sweet girl! But this face made me laugh so hard!
Charlie being that Dad that has all the baby photos to show you!
When Emma came, she went along to many sessions with us whether it was with Charlie or family or me wearing her! She was a great sport and dream baby during our first busy season with a baby, and everyone was so gracious about us needing to bring her sometimes!
She loves Josh and I think it’s pretty mutual;)
The McGuirt’s warmed my heart with how much they helped and loved on her during their session!!
Photographing a home in style
Some phone photos from here on!
She slept for hours during sweet Rebekah’s session!
When she was 6 weeks old, Charlie took head shots for a co-worker who was coming out with a book! (YES, Charlie has been published guys!) We went along to watch…and break out of the house
Always a plus to take home flowers!
The only BTS from my photo swap with Hannah and her adorable family!
I’m missing so many selfies from our weddings, but Maddie has been so good to remind us to grab one!
