If anyone knows us, they know that we love to go on adventures. We typically keep our instagram feed packed with snippets from our trips and experiences. Scroll through to get a little insight into who we are!
Our Story
Charlie and I met in July of 2011 at a lake day event our Sunday School we were in together was hosting. Charlie came to save me from a bad jet ski ride I was stuck on and from there, our lives were changed. Charlie pursued me after that and invited me to come help him and some friends with an outreach project he had started at church. He was impressed that I actually came and I was more impressed by his incredible character and obvious love for others and for the Lord. Fast forward a few weeks (yes weeks;) and we're officially dating. Throughout our relationship, my business was already in full swing (I’ve been photographing weddings now for about 10 years!) and Charlie started coming along to weddings with me to assist and help. Before we knew it, he was learning how to use my camera and shooting fully manual. Not long after that, he was my second shooter at all my weddings. I had dreamed that I would find someone who would not only share in my passion, but also get to work side-by-side with me, and those dreams came true! I cherish our days we get to work together and experience all these days together. Charlie never ceases to impress and amaze me.
Skip to December 7th, 2013. The day Charlie asked me to be his wife. I could not have been more thrilled and excited for the future! August 23rd, 2014 was a very hot day in Buford, GA, but one of the best days yet. We were married at last!
We have now been married 8 years and bought our first home in Jefferson, GA. We have loved living here the past few years! Charlie works full time in the poultry business and I have been running Charlie and Morgan Photography full time. We have a little Cairn Terrier dog named Bentley who used to be the only other thing in the house with us, but that changed in 2019! 2019 was an exciting year for us for many reasons, but our favorite thing that happened in 2019 was welcoming our first daughter into our family, Emma!! She is such a great joy in our lives and we are so thankful for her and that she is ours. We feel so blessed to be in this place God has us right now. Emma has made us happy to change things around in life and especially in our business, we see changes happening this year! Taking on less to be more available for family time, as well as also being sure to be able to give our best to every aspect of our lives. We are excited to see what 2020 will bring with this new mindset!
You guys, we love marriage. We love being parents to Emma. It really is all an incredible gift from God. It's a never ending adventure and we can’t wait for the next marriage adventures of parenthood to unfold! Which speaking of, we love to go on adventures. Constantly. It's almost rare for us to be home on Saturdays because we love to use our free Saturdays as opportunity to head to the mountains and either hike, fly fish, visit with friends, or usually do all of those together. We love to get out and enjoy God's creation and get refreshed and inspired. In July 2018 we took a huge trip with two of our dear friends and flew out west to see Yellowstone National Park and The Grand Tetons! It was an incredible trip and we hope to take many more like it one day, but with kids now too!
Charlie has not only picked up a huge love for fly fishing, woodworking, and cycling, and running with me (and is pretty great at all of it too;) but also a love for nature photography. Just wait for it, his own portfolio site of just nature and documenting of our trips is hopefully coming! We're still dreaming of it, but it's happening.
Photography has taken us to many great places and we can't wait to experience more. We love getting to travel, but we love being able to travel to capture weddings, families, seniors, etc. We love it! We get so excited to book weddings knowing we get the opportunity to work with great couples and families. It truly is the best job ever to be a photographer. We thank God constantly for this gift He has given us and we can't wait to use our gift for you! Thank you for stopping by our site! We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you!
